Sweat Test QC
Introducing the Sweat Test QC for Cystic Fibrosis testing. A Control for laboratories for the analysis of Sweat Testing.
For the measurement of conductivity and osmolality by cystic fibrosis screening procedures and to validate the analysis of Chloride, Potassium, and Sodium by confirmatory methods used to quantitate patient samples.
The Sweat test is a 3 Level Control that is refrigerated in between use but used once it is left to reach room temperature.
Constructed from a human sweat matrix making it similar to a patient specimen it can be used to monitor assay methods and for operator and procedure validation.
A sweat chloride test result of less than 30 mmol/L in all populations means cystic fibrosis is less likely. A result between 30 to 59 mmol/L does not give a clear diagnosis. The Control is supplied in 3 clinically relevant Levels (9 vials per box) and measures analytes: Chloride, Conductivity, Osmolality, Potassium, and Sodium.
As it has an excellent shelf life and is a ready to use liquid, the Sweat Control is both convenient to use and offers less waste than other products on the market.
Compatible with assay methods including Chloridometer, Osmometer, Sweat-Chek conductivity analyzer and Dimension and Advia.
