Urilyzer Update CombiScreen mALB CREA

New Urilyzer 100 - CombiScreen mALB CREA  - Efficient solution for the detection of microalbuminuria

Albumin-Creatinine-Ratio is simple with the NEW CombiScreen® mALB / CREA application on the Urilyzer® 100 Pro

Microalbumin describes the lower level of Albumin in urine output. Albumin tests are used to detect early signs of kidney damages in patients with a risk of developing kidney diseases. The albumin-creatinine-ratio (ACR) compares the amount of Albumin to the amount of Creatinine in the urine sample.

An abnormal ACR indicates a kidney disease such as a Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and therefore is a marker for early-stage nephropathy. Diabetic nephropathy is the most common cause of CKD and has an enormous cost burden for the health care system. CKD is a common long-term condition that often coexists with other chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and depression, and is associated with reduced quality of life, lower life expectancy and increased health care expenditures.

Several guidelines including the NICE/United Kingdom, American Diabetes Association/United States of America and DEGAM S3 Leitlinie/Germany recommend measurement of Albumin Creatinine Ratio regularly especially when patients are diagnosed with CKD, hypertension or Diabetes Type 1 and Type 2.
